The Project
Just steps from the sea on the Costa Brava, this sixty-square-metre apartment was designed in 2020 as a rental property. This purpose shaped every design decision: an interior that welcomes new guests each week needs to make an immediate impression, retain its appeal over time and withstand regular use.
The design responds with a warm, neutral palette of taupe, beige, light oak and white, brought together by wall panelling and mouldings that add depth to otherwise flat surfaces. The living area forms one open space, with only a column defining the areas around the sofa, round dining table and kitchen, giving the sixty-square-metre apartment a sense of breathing room. The solid wood counter doubles as a desk and a breakfast bar.
In the bedroom, a panelled wall and a dark curtain frame the full-height glazed door opening onto the balcony. The bathroom pairs light wood-effect and slate-effect porcelain tiles with a level-access shower. There is no unnecessary decoration: materials and light define the space.
